Iotawatt not pushing to InfluxD

Hi, had no problems for years now, but all of a sudden my influxdb on a raspberry pi is not getting updated data from the iotawatt.

Says error code -4 on the influx upload tab

Attached is the message log as well. Noticed previously in March it did some “update tables from invalid” and has done it again now and my grafana pulling from influxdb has no data for the last 24 hrs or so.

Is this a problem with my influx db? Full??

Code -4 means the IoTaWatt was unable to connect to the infludDB server. Check your influxDB instance to see if there are any problems there.

The table update failure is an old bug. You are on auto-update MAJOR so you do not have the latest release. I would recommend you go with auto-update MINOR.

Thanks. I’ll play with my influx server over the next few days. And I’ll update the iotawatt as well.

Th -4 is most likely a network issue. Can be caused by using an IP address in iotawatt but your router/dhcp has issued a different IP address to the pi for some reason.

I have also had it when a switch went faulty and dropped 75% of the packets.

If you haven’t already done so it is worth reserving ip addresses for the iotawatt in the dhcp settings of your network (or using static IPs)

Appears my sd card had started to fail in my rasp pi.
Managed to copy and move to a new SD, but database was corrupted. Installed influx as a fresh install and now updating as it should.
