WiFi problems / how do I reset?

Iotawatt is not connecting to the WiFi any more; might be because the base station configuration changed, or I don’t know what. So I need to reconfigure WiFi.

I thought there might be a “reset WiFi” button, but there doesn’t seem to be. Then I thought there might be a file on the SD card that has the WiFi info, but if so, I can’t find it. Then I connected via USB serial and I get “8/21/21 18:51:40z Connecting with WiFiManager.” but no further luck.

How do I set new WiFi info if I can’t access the network with the old WiFi configuration?

Update: After I while, the console output continues:

8/21/21 18:58:06z Did not connect after power-fail. Restarting to reset WiFi.

Now the LED rapidly flashes red.

That’s normal. It’s sampling but not connected to WiFi.

If you power cycle the unit, you should get the Red-Green-Green LED indicating that the unit is in AP mode and waiting for you to connect to it and configure WiFi. Just follow the documentation as with a new unit.

It must be a power on reset (remove and replace the USB power connector). The RGG will last for three minutes. If you don’t connect in that time, it will go to dull red again and you would need to power cycle again.

BTW/ you are on a verty old release of the firmware. I would recommend setting the auto-update class to MINOR once you are connected again.

Ah, thank you. I didn’t recognize the device in my long list of access points … user error.
