104a Load - 100a CT

I’m wondering, if I have a circuit that has a max possible current of 104a, and I use a 100a CT, what happens when the load goes above 100a?

Do CT’s have a kind of buffer range where they could work at 104a, or is there a hard limit at 100a?

Seriously, that’s not a problem.

It would be 104. Depending on the make of the CT, they can get saturated as they approach the high end. Why not just use a 200A and eliminate the guesswork?
