3 Red Flashes - Panic Mode

The main led was solid green - although under flourescent lights it appears to have a fast flicker to it.

Solid green is running and sampling. Next time it happens, can you restart it by pressing the little restart button next to the usb connector, then after it has restarted, post the log?

OK been running fine since the last report.

Went to the unit today to do some graphing (graph+) and it locked up

Went and had a look at tthe unit (still with the case off)

1 green, 2 red flashes (quite slow)

Pressed the Reset button for 1s and after about 10 seconds the same 1 green 2 red.

WIll try and 2nd time and wait until i hear back from your

Did another reset with the onboard button - same thing

Pulled the power and re connected and it came up straight away

Just to back-up a little here, am I right that you put a brand new SDcard into this unit?

Yes it is a new card

Why are you thinking it is a card issue again ?

I have another brand new 64GB card sitting here in the packaging for a RPi project that i could replace it with if you think that will make a difference.

Maybe. What has me wondering is that pressing reset does not clear the card condition, but power cycle does. Pressing the reset button does not restart the card, because it remains powered up. Power cycle will cause the card to restart, and that seems to get it working.

This doesn’t seem to fit the profile of a bad SDsocket.

You’re going to have to reformat that card anyway to use in the Rpi, so yeah, can you give it a try? Make sure it’s FAT32 before you load it.

Bob just a follow up on this

The unit has been running fine since Aug 25 when i replaced the SD card.

It has now faild again.

Initially it was showing Green, Red Red and not available on the network

I pulled the power removed the SD card and reseated it.

Now it is just flashing 3 red flashes.

This was a brand new 16GB Sandisk Ultra.

It looks like this unit is killing SD cards somehow.

Actually - not true - i have just removed the SD card and placed it in my laptop and can read the contents fine.

Do you want me to upload any files for you to check out ? Or should i duplicate this to another SD card and try that ?

To recap on this

The unit is about 10 feet away from a WIFI mesh point on our network.

It is powered by a USB plug that provides 2.4 amps that is plugged into a UPS.
