I set up an Iotawatt system to monitor a community water system in a remote jungle location in Costa Rica. We have wifi via an antenna. The only way to log into the Iotawatt locally is to drive up a 4x4 dirt road to the well atop a mountain. I am happy with our progress. The only thing I am missing is a way to send a WhatsApp message for power outages and pump failure (low water tank level). Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Iotawatt isn’t going to do that, so you need something that can talk to Iotawatt and also knows how to send the message you want.
NodeRED could do this
It needs a device to run on. Many people use a Raspberry Pi, so it doesn’t require a lot of resources.
