Buying IoTaWatt in Australia, or that will ship to Australia?

Hi,

Does anybody know a good source for buying an IoTaWatt in Australia, or anybody that will ship to Australia?

I think SmartGuys has them (or used to) - but they’re out of stock on their website:

Also, from other reports here it seems something is up or something’s come up, as they’re not responding to emails, or have been hard to get a hold of?

Thanks,
Victor

CircuitIQ in Canada will ship internationally.

Oh nice - I can check them out!

However, it says “Power monitoring system for 120V single-phase Mains” - I’m in Australia, where we use 220V.

Does that make a difference with the main unit? Or are they the same hardware, and I just need to get a different wall AC adapter for the USB power input?

I bought from them early this year. No replies or acknowledgement.
Decided to risk it using a credit card just in case I needed to claim against the order. Arrived in less than a week.
If you can afford to be without the funds for a few months in case of problems it’s probably worth a shot.

Looks like they don’t stock it anymore :frowning:

I didn’t realise how lucky I was in June last year to not only order an iotawatt from Smart Guys, and receive it, but also get a reply from them about stock of CT clamps. I knew then I’d likely need a second eventually but wasn’t sure… and now I seem to be out of luck :upside_down_face:

I’m about to order the v5.0 PCB (from the Github repo) from JLPCB along with the components as best I can find them on DigiKey/Amazon. The MOQ on the PCB is 5 units… so I will build up the 1st one and then (if it works fine) make the remaining 4 available for interested parties in Australia. Taking EOI now

For reference, I am using the BOM and case from this topic as groundwork, so if this works out, just about all the credit should be going to overeasy and sandblech.

Firmware looks like it is building fine with some help from a few straggling notes scattered around the forums.

PS: Not looking to make any profit…. just want to help fellow Aussie HomeAssistant enthusiasts that struggle to find decent DIY energy measurement hardware/systems in Aus. Will post pricing once I have ordered stuff, but it is looking like it might be around $60 - $70 per unit.
