Doubling 240V Circuits

Finally got my IoTaWatt totally installed. Is there a general rule of thumb for when you need to double the value if you only monitor 1 side of a 240V circuit versus monitoring both sides? I uploaded a spreadsheet to google docs here that shows my electric panels and my IoTaWatt Configuration (last tab). I’m thinking of buying a couple of Y connectors and some extra CTs to fully monitor the 240V circuits. Right now I’m thinking the Range and Dryer are the only 2 that I would really need. Any other thoughts?

Thanks

Dave

If you are monitoring a 240V circuit with one CT installed on one conductor, you should double.

If the CT has both conductors passing through (one reversed) or you are monitoring the circuit with two CTs, you should not double.
