Just wondering how much data is created by a single branch circuit CT? Is a data point collected and stored every minute or every 30 seconds, etc???

There are a lot of factors, but generally speaking, each CT in a fully loaded unit (14 inputs) at 60 HZ, samples an AC cycle about every 400ms. Those samples are time weighted and aggregated every 5 seconds. The samples are retained for a year and then 1 minute samples are kept for 10 years.
Thanks so much for the assistance.
Based on a sample being stored roughly every 0.5 second that adds up to a lot of data - 88 million samples per year for 14 CT’s…
Is it possible to copy the data from the base station a home computer?
If so, what is the format of the data or what separators are used to distinguish between samples and within each sample?

You are asking questions that have complex answers and there is no documentation that I can point you to. However, it’s open source, so take a look for yourself.
The first question I would ask is: why?
Many people get “religion” when it comes to “interesting” data and want to save it all. I know, been there, done that, got the T-shirt.
What IotaWatt does is collect a LOT of data. By itself, most of it is worthless, but through aggregation of the data it is possible to clean some information that can answer some questions.
What questions do you have?
What results do you want to achieve?
Why did you purchase an IotaWatt?
I have mine send their data to InfluxDB, but find the web UI to be fine to answer most questions.
If you are interested in consumption/production, which is the reason most people buy it, the base device is fine by itself.
