I have a standard U.S. 1985 electrical panel, am interested primarily in monitoring my well pump, which is a 220V line. But it seems I have to decide which “Mains CT” to order. How do I tell?
There are two to choose from:
The 200A x 25mm clamp on costs a bit more but is easier to install.
The 200A x 24mm split-core costs a little less and can be difficult to install in a tight space.
Look at the pictures and take a look at the mains cables to determine which may be the better choice in your particular installation.
I cannot say enough for the clamps. Well worth the additional cost for the quick and safe connections to your mains.
