Integrators time seems off

Hi all.

I have an issue where my integrator’s / outputs seem to be off in time relative to what the raw CT is.

Please see the image below. Im not sure exactly how to phrase my question except that i would expect them to be closer together in time especially the “.net”(orange) and the “raw measurement” (pink) as from what i understand, they are the same thing And the Pos / Neg are only accrued to when the power crosses the 0 mark.

It could also be that i just totally dont understand how they work, and this is expected. bu just wanted to check in.

It does look off by an hour. Can you post that graph with the entire graph+ screen showing, a screenshot of your status display with the datalogs tab expanded, the message log showing the unit startup prior to the day represented in that graph?

Something has happened to cause the integrations to be out of sync. Notice that the last entry time of the two integration logs are about an hour behind the current and history logs. I see that the unit last restarted on Nov 26. It’s due for a routine restart in about 4 days.

Can you do that plot for Nov 25 and see if they line up? If so, can you try Nov 27? I don’t know where (or how) they could get out of sync and why even out of sync logs would appear that way in a plot. I looked at the code and it doesn’t seem possible, but it does appear so.

After you look at those Nov dates, can you restart the IoTaWatt? After the restart, see if the end time of the integration logs matches the current log. Check if the problem still exists for Jan 3, and post the message log from the restart please.

Is this something i may need to set a more frequent restart for perhaps?

im playing with the influxdb uploader again. after previously having too many objects (this was a long time ago) and cutting them down. But im trying to work out the best way to do it so i can squeeze out as much as possible.

I have tried the continuous query thing, and that didnt work. So im trying to work out the best way to upload only whats needed, and then have influx do the rest of the math. As it makes sense to just index the things i want, and then can add more down the track as long as i have the minimum required data to do it. And it is easier to just query a metric and get an output, rather than do math over them all for a period at run time.

I just had a thought. DST.

Parts of Australia have entered DST time. In QLD where i live, we dont have DST. Could that be it?

so the deviation started on nov 26th 2023. How often does the unit auto reboot? looking at the logs, i take it its every 6 weeks?

I’ve been digging to see how this might happen, but cannot see any way in the current firmware. I see that you have auto-update set to NONE and so have a pretty old release. I believe this has a good chance of correcting itself going forward with the current release which has been out for a long time. You can upgrade by simply setting your auto-update class to MINOR.
