Let's encrypt and SSL certificates

Hello,
We use IoTaWatts with emoncms, and I read that some changes with Let’s Encrypt might create issues (Emoncms.org feeds not updating for some users today 30th September 3pm onwards - #28 by glyn.hudson - Emoncms.org - OpenEnergyMonitor Community). Is it possible that IoTaWatt is impacted by this, and that we should upgrade our devices?

That appears to be an issue with the certificate package included with the Emoncms package.

IoTaWatt doesn’t support TLS and so doesn’t use certs. For secure data transmission from IoTaWatt to Emoncms, there is an application layer encryption protocol based on the write-key as a shared secret.
