'menus' not responding

Hi, first post here as frankly not had any issues with my IotaWatt.

I’ve had my setup for about 6 years and it’s been running with no issues at all. I have recently changed my EMonCMS server so changed the connection details in the IotaWatt. That has been running fine and I was monitoring the backfill. However we now get onto my problem.

Basically the menu’s on my IotaWatt now don’t do anything. They show the 2nd level options but nothing else, so cannot get into anything.

I’ve done the preveribal ‘turn it off and on’ but to no avail. I can access things like http://iotawatt.local/edit.htm and http://iotawatt.local/graph.htm they works (graphs deplay and everything).

Any idea’s on how to get to the main screen options working again?

It’s possible the file is damaged, so using the edit which you can run, try uploading this fresh copy of the config app.

If that doesn’t work, using a laptop or desktop, try running the debugger (F12) and refreshing the app (F5). Note the “console” for error messages and then do it again with “network” selected and post the output.

Given your unit is six years in service, the SDcard may be getting tired. It would be a good idea to replace it while you are at it. You should be able to just copy the old to the new.

Remove/replace SDcard

Sometimes it becomes necessary to remove the microSD card. You may need to replace it or look at the message log if the device isn’t working, or maybe you want to back up the datalogs. For whatever reason, it’s best to be careful as the type of holder and position makes it easy to damage during removal. Power down the IoTaWatt by removing the USB power plug and AC reference plug.
