Hi there
Does anyone know the minimum current required to get a reading using the smallest CT on a 24vac line?
Accuracy is not important.
Just want to know when a furnace gas valve has been engaged and for how long.
Thanks in advance

The voltage doesn’t matter. You can experiment but I think 100mA would be a good guess. IoTaWatt will report the Amps, but you would need to export it to something that can determine if running and for how long.
Thanks for your response.
I think I’ve figured out a better way than monitoring a 24vac line BUT do you know what the maximum distance a CT can be from the hub?
My furnace is approx 15 feet from hub.
Tx again
Ray
15’ is fine. If you want to increase the sensitivity you can just loop the wire through CT multiple times to get 2x , 3x etc.
Thanks so much for your help
