Main Service and panelboard are 50 ft from subpanel, so wherever I locate the IoTaWatt
unit is a long way from half my circuits.
Can I build extension cabling (w/3.5mm jacks and plugs) for long distance CT runs?
search extensions (on this forum) and you will see the experiences people have had. Many people are using them.
I have run 27 metres of Cat6 cable using a twisted pair for each CT (YHDC SCT-013) and a soldered 3.5mm socket and jack. It works fine.
Thank you both. I did find some excellent reference info from posts from years past, and dabbler68, that was exactly what I was hoping to hear. My run should total about 17 m.
