Is it possible to access the base unit remotely?
I’m new here and don’t have my IoTaWatt yet but if you can access it from your local systems you can do exactly the same by setting up a VPN and connecting through it to inside your firewall. I’ve been doing this for quite some time with my phone and it’s no different than being connected to my home Wi-Fi.
Yes, a VPN will work fine and is more secure than port forwarding, which is another way to access remotely.
