Recently I got a backup IotaWatt. The SD card seemed to have trouble, so I ordered a new micro SD with dread. However, it came with FAT32 format and it’s own USB->MicrosSD device so all I had to do was copy over these files (as instructions show on this forum):
Then added my previous IotaWatt config.txt on top of base file above… and it fired right up working the same as the original…
Now, I have a confirmed ‘backup’ that I can switch into place within a short period to continue generating operational data while I deal with whatever went wrong. The backup IotaWatt doesn’t have the history of the original but I pull that off to my own DB so that’s not a concern for my situation.
Hats off to @overeasy (and anyone else I don’t know about) and all this fantastic work as I Love things that are ‘straight-forward’ to deal with
